Many of the manufacturers in our industry (such as AJA, Blackmagic-Design, Lowel, Mackie, Manfrotto and countless others) have a contractual requirement with dealers to agree to a Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) policy, wherein dealers may not "advertise" their products below a specific price. They require strict adherence to this contract for us to resell their products. If you've searched for a particular product on a shopping search engine and found that every web store's price is the same, MAP policies are likely the reason.
These manufacturers state that their MAP policies are needed to protect small dealers. However, because the internet is a price-driven marketplace, these MAP policies actually serve to create the exact opposite response, driving consumers to the biggest stores (since without better pricing, there is no competitive incentive to buy elsewhere).
At WWBroadcast, we believe that providing the lowest price combined with world-class service will win your business every time. In an effort to give you our best possible price for every purchase, we have started the WWBroadcast Buying Club. Think of it like one of the big 100,000 square foot membership warehouse chain stores in your neighborhood, but for audio, video and broadcast equipment.
